Emily and her husband are about to celebrate their 5th anniversary and these photos are a a surprise. So the three of us, Emily, Spanky and myself snuck out one evening and had a urban photo session in Bay Village and Boston Garden. We were urban rebels. I am really enjoying urban photo sessions.
Roxy is so adorable that i was worried that i would not be able to capture her sweet nature. She is a rescue dog and is a bit timid. Her fur is a soft as silk and she has these eyes that can melt butter. I would take a few photos of her and then she would shyly walk over to me and bury her head into my lap. She needed a little loving before we could move on.
Radley likes to socialize... sort of. She runs up to other dogs at warp speed and kind of bamboozles them with a body slam. Along with this approach she has a sort of guttural bark growl with a wagging tail. It's not the best way to approach but the other dogs seem to accept her with flaws and all.
After all that playing with her pals Radley needs to cool off with a stick and a swim.
This was a wild location. A huge field, a little walk to a swampy area and then a little more walking to the beautiful ocean. I had to watch where i stepped (swap) and that was really hard as Pixel (the little dog) was quick as a bunny and i had to keep an eye on him.
I love Doggie Day in the South End. My little cattle dog Boo Radley is terrified of the groomers... among other things. So i decided to take my dirty pup to DoggieDay and do it myself. A little less scary when we are doing this together.
We took advantage of the Discount at the Water Pump promotion. You can see photos of our experience below!
